“A hidden gem for spice lovers!”
I recently tried this Pineau d’Aunis at a dinner party and was completely blown away. The deep red color with garnet hues looked stunning in the glass. On the nose, I immediately picked up bold black pepper and warm spices, with just a hint of red fruit underneath—it was incredibly inviting.
What impressed me most was the balance on the palate: the tannins were smooth but had a solid grip, and the spice really lingered in a satisfying way. We had it with a homemade chicken curry, and it was a perfect match—the wine amplified the flavors beautifully without overpowering the dish. Good to serve it at 13 degrees
